How to Make a Company Logo

08 February 2012 ~ 0 Comments

There are a lot to consider when you are opening a business. I would like to share some advices regarding one important consideration which a marketer should take in his mind as he or she starts a firm: the making of the company logo.

The logo represents the company. It gives the firm an image—something visible which the consumers can see and remember by. Psychologically speaking, the logo helps the retention of the business in the consciousness of the consumers. With something visible, the clients can easily associate things with your products and services. This is a proven piece of information. In fact, if I will show you 10 logos of giant companies, you will surely name 9. So if you are just starting, what will be the best way to create your logo? What are the considerations you have to make?

Remember that the logo must tell the nature of your business. So you must think deeply on how you will do it. My best advice is to hire a logo design company. They have experienced and learned designers or graphic artists. All you have to do is give them the details and some of your ideas. There are plenty of logo design firms in the World Wide Web—just type, search and click, and you’ll have your perfect logo in no time.

But first, just as I said, you must ready yourself for suggestions. Before hiring one, you must know what you want, besides this would be the face of your company. I have two advices for you to make an initial logo for your company:

  1. Reflect on the shape. The shape of the logo must correlate with the name of your company and the nature of your commerce. The mortal sin for businesses is to make the customers guess the meaning or the true nature of your company.
  2. Choose the right color. Color has meaning. Secondly, colors catch attentions. It will give your business the catchy-edge over the consumers.

So, again, before hiring a logo designer, think of these two considerations. Simple details such as these will give the designer something to start with—giving your project a fast accomplishment percentage.
